On Saturday, February 13, 2010, officers from the Sheriff's Department responded to a call at a residence on Jackson 54 in the Midway Community of Jackson County.
Upon their arrival, they made contact with the resident who advised that Chris Cooper was causing a disturbance and that he had misplaced his cell phone and was going through everything in the house to find it.
The officers then made contact with Mr. Cooper, it was determined that he had an active warrant for his arrest out of White County. The warrant was confirmed and Mr. Cooper was taken into custody by Deputy Stacey Sullivan. Deputy Greg Ivey then searched Mr. Cooper and found a small corner baggie that was tied shut. The baggie contained a white colored powder like substance that was believed to be Methamphetamine.
Mr. Cooper was transported to the Jackson County Sheriff's Department Detention Center where he is being held on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver - Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
