On March 24, 2008, the Jackson County Sheriffʼs Office Criminal Investigation Division was advised of a burglary that had occurred at 415 Redman Street in Jacksonport on or around March 17th, 2008.
On Friday, May 16, 2008, Investigator Morales made contact with Carla Emery at her residence in Newport, Arkansas, where she was taken into custody on a warrant charging her with Theft by Receiving as a result of the incident at Jacksonport in March.
On this same date, Investigator Morales made contact with Heather Page. Ms. Page was later arrested on a warrant charging her with Theft by Receiving as a result of the incident at Jacksonport in March.
After interviewing both subjects, additional charges were filed against the two. Carla Emery was formally charged with three (3) counts of Residential Burglary and three (3) counts of Theft of Property. Heather Page was charged with one (1) count of Residential Burglary and one (1) count of Theft of Property.
As a result of the investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division, most of the items that were reported stolen have been recovered. It was also determined that some of the items that had not been recovered were destroyed and / or disposed of.
On Friday, May 16, 2008, Ms. Emery appeared in Newport District Court on charges of Residential Burglary and Theft of Property. Her bond was set at $5,000.00 and she was ordered to appear in Jackson County Circuit Court June 26th, 2008.
On Monday, May 19, 2008, Ms. Page appeared in Newport District Court on charges of Residential Burglary and Theft of Property. Her bond was set at $100,000 and she was released into the custody of Mr. Tim Bumpous. She was also ordered to appear in Jackson County Circuit Court June 26th, 2008.
