Message from Sheriff
|
Since being elected as the Sheriff of Jackson County in 2005, it has truly been an honor and a privilege that I will carry with me forever. When elected, my staff and I had set numerous goals and priorities that needed to be addressed throughout our County.
One of the priorities was the drug problem that has plagued not only Jackson County but also the whole country. In an effort to tackle this problem my patrol officers have became more active in the interdiction of drugs being transported into and around Jackson County. We have also become more aggressive in finding and working informants and also utilizing several different surveillance techniques. By doing these things we have been able to make numerous drug arrests and seize drug assets to be used by the Sheriff's Office to conduct other drug investigations and also to purchase equipment for the Sheriff's Office at no cost to the taxpayer. |
